Stepped path

Trails call to me. This one beckons me, “Come away, come away.”

Away from the stifling confines of task lists, “must do’s”, schedules and time sheets,

And if I chose to heed its call, where will it lead me, this trail to somewhere, to nowhere to anywhere?

What lies beyond these steps beneath my feet?

As I yield myself to their lure

I know instantly, it matters not.

The destination is not the end.

Right now, there is this trail

And it is enough.
