The Old Harbour

Where have they gone now the boats of old,

The fishermen calling to each other in now silent voices,

the sweat of their labour, the thrill of the catch,

the stench of fresh blood mingled with the ocean’s smell?

Abandoned now this old harbor,

A solitary boat,

The debris of humanity

A reminder of by gone age

But still remains

This harbor wall, this ancient stone

And beyond it the never ceasing sea
